Andes Guiding was started by Eduardo Depetris and Tatiana Niveyro. We met working in the mountains and our goal is to share our passion for outdoor adventures with you.

Our guiding service has been shaped by the desire for adapting our passion for the mountains into our way of life. As we have always aimed for professional excellence, we comply with the IFMGA/UIAGM (International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations) technical and safety standards. We are proud of being amongst and working with the most qualified guides.

Eduardo Depetris

Eduardo Depetris

Mountain Guide IFMGA/UIAGM

Born in Mendoza, Argentina, Eduardo has dedicated himself to mountaineering and to his own professional development since he was very young. He is a natural leader and protector, and has helped and coordinated several rescue situations. He handles unexpected situations with calm vision and responsible attitude.

He is an UIAGM/IFMGA full guide and an instructor on rock, self-rescue, ice and mountaineering courses for other UIAGM mountain guides. He has over 20 years of experience guiding, over 26 summits on Aconcagua (his first ascent at only 15 years of age). Among his accomplishments, Eduardo has stood on the summit of more than 25 6000m peaks in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru, climbed alpine rock and ice in Patagonia, sport climbed 8a+ (5.13c), climbed big walls in Yosemite (Mescalito), Europe and ski mountaineering in Argentina and Chile. His enthusiasm and love of the sport has brought him to climb and work as a guide in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, USA, Canada, Greenland, Mexico, Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland.

Eduardo speaks Spanish and English.

Tatiana Niveyro

Tatiana Niveyro

Mountain Guide AAGM

Tatiana started mountaineering, rock climbing and skiing at the age of 17. She moved to Northern Patagonia where she became a Forestry Engineer and had the perfect environment and friends to gain experience to become a mountain guide.

Her climbing and working experience in the high altitude mountains of Argentina, Chile, the Cordillera Real in Bolivia, the Cordillera Blanca in Peru, Patagonia, and in the USA led her to specialize and become a mountain guide. She started working in Aconcagua a base camp manager, then porter, moving to Assistant Guide and finally to Head Guide. She has led several successful expeditions and summited seven times. She has climbed more than 15 mountains over 6000 meters in Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Chile.

She is fluent in Spanish, English and French and coordinates the logistics and organization of Andes Guiding. Married to Eduardo and mother their two children, she enjoys the outdoors as much as helping other people have their own safe and enriching mountain experience.

Enrique Martin Clausen

Enrique Martin Clausen

Mountain Guide IFMGA/UIAGM

“Quique” lives now in Bariloche. He has great experience working in the Central Andes, especially in Aconcagua guiding about 30 successful expeditions and helping in rescue situations. He has also worked as guide and climbing instructor in other parts of Argentina (Patagonia, Cordoba) and climbed intensively. His climbing resume is very impressive and you will remember his because of his humble personality.

He speaks Spanish and English.

Mauricio Fernández

Mauricio Fernández

Mountain Guide IFMGA/UIAGM

Born in Mendoza, Argentina, Mauricio has more than 30 years of experience in the mountains. He specializes in physical education, guided expeditions and is an important member of the Argentinean Association of Mountain Guides (AAGM); he contributes to the formation of other mountain guides and is a well-known writer of rock climbing guide books. He speaks Spanish and English.

On both on his personal and professional career, he has combined the following:

  • Summited Aconcagua 33 times with more than 100 clients
  • Numerous guided expeditions in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina
  • Summitted Mt. Cho Oyu, 8201m/26.906 ft , Himalaya
  • Summitted Mt. Fitz Roy, Patagonia Argentina
  • Climbed in the Alps, Europe and Yosemite, USA
  • First complete ascent of the Southeast Ridge on Aconcagua
  • First winter ascent of Mercendario 6770m /22.291 ft in the Central Andes
  • AAGM Mountain Guide Instructor for the UIAGM Argentina program
  • Rock and ice climbing instructor

Guillermo "Colo" Lynch

Guillermo "Colo" Lynch

Mountain Guide AAGM

Guillermo "Colo" is originally from Bariloche. Since very young he has found his way to live, work and enjoy most of his time in the outdoors. He has worked in several mountain huts, he is an ski patrol and a professional mountain guide.

He guides stands out for his patience, good humour and possitive attitude to guide and wide range of ages, from kids to very grown-ups.
He speaks Spanish and English and some portuguese.
